Renowned for its yearly watermelon harvest, the town of Chinchilla wanted to celebrate its signature fruit with a custom designed monument entrance sign. The watermelon image was sculpted out of weatherproof High Density Urethane (a durable wood substitute) and detailed with exterior artists acrylics. Sweeping hand-carved text contrasts effectively with the strong geometric shapes of the monument sign background.
