A chip carved and gilded finish on building sign letters is one of our most popular techniques. The process involves a lot of handwork and the resulting sign letters make a company name distinctive. Each sign letter was cut from a piece of high-density urethane laminated to PVC for strength. The shaping of the letter was done by hand and the surface of gouge marks carved with a “sweep chisel". These sign letters are gilded with real 23-karat gold leaf. We also offer copper, silver, and painted architectural letters.
